Most late payments come from invoices that leave the client a question: which bank account, which date, what this line was for. Answer those on the invoice itself.
- What should an invoice include?
- Your business name and contact details, the client’s name, a unique invoice number, the date and due date, what you supplied with quantities and prices, any tax, the total due and how to pay. Some countries also require your tax or VAT number.
- How do I save it as a PDF?
- Click Download PDF / print, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. On a phone, use Share, then Print, then save.
- How should I number invoices?
- Use a simple sequence that never repeats, like INV-0001, INV-0002. Many tax offices expect numbers with no gaps, so do not reuse or skip them.
- Is my data stored?
- Only your own business details, and only in this browser, so you do not have to type them again. Client details and amounts are never stored or sent anywhere.
