Hiring a construction company
Construction overruns usually start with an unclear contract. Insist on a written scope, a payment schedule tied to stages and proof of insurance.
What to check
- Licences and insurance for the size of job
- Completed projects you can visit or call about
- A written contract with stages and payments
- Who obtains permits and inspections
